Second language acquisition (SLA), is the process by which people learn a second language. Learning a second language is not easy; not for everyone. Our native language affects learning a second language, as well some people claim that there is a critical age for the acquisition period of a second language. For children it is easier to learn any language they are exposed, for adults it is more difficult learn a second language especially for the pronunciation.
The field of second-language acquisition is regarded by some but not
everybody as a sub-discipline of applied linguistics but also receives research
attention from a variety of other disciplines, such as psychology and
education.
SLA researchers sometimes distinguish between
‘acquisition’ and ‘learning.’ Acquisition refers to the learning of a nonnative
language in a naturalistic environment. Learning, in contrast, refers to the
learning of a nonnative language in an environment in which that language is
not natively spoken.
The process of gradually learning someting or gaining
something such as a skill.
Language attrition
Is the process of losing a native or first language.
This process is generally caused by both isolation from speakers of the first
language ("L1") and the acquisition and use of a second language ("L2"),
which interferes with the correct production and comprehension of the
first.
Interlanguage
Is an idiolect that has been developed by
a learner of a second language (L2)
which preserves some features of their first language (L1),
and can also overgeneralize some L2 writing and speaking rules. These two
characteristics of an interlanguage result in the system's unique linguistic
organization.

Bilingual education
Involves teaching academic content in two languages, in a native and secondary language with varying amounts of each language used in accordance with the program model.

"I like doing this project because I read very interesting things and learned to do a blog. I didn't like having so little time to do, it was a lot of work, but we finished it. I wish I had more time to present a better job with my colleagues but it was a pretty experience. I really liked that the project required using app we'd used before, that made it a little easier."
